Help, please?
Hi. I am looking for an old friend of mine. She grew up in the Vanderbilt/Dickerson Run area and for the life of me, I can not remember her maiden name. Her married name was Amy Craig, but the last I heard she was divorced. I haven't seen her since 2004 or 2005. We used to be as close as sisters, but as in a lot of cases, we lost touch as our own families began to take up more of our times. She was living in one of the red brick apartments north on Morrell past the carwash heading into town back then. If anyone knows if she's still in the area or at least doing ok, please let me know. Thank you.

Tammy would you not agree that anyone that messes around with the Fayette County politicians is two wrenches , a pair of pliers short of a full tool chest ? Yes Tammy you may certainly be 100% correct that something is terribly wrong with me . I just wish that I can wake up from this horrible dream that I am having .

Today I was given what could be the most frightening information I could ever get hold of in the respect of our independence as individual Americans. The Pennsylvania state budget proposal ( S.B.) 850 has planned to heavily cut state funding to the Greatest device we have as a Free Nation, our libraries. As this Nation’s recession digs deeper and everyone of us feel the pain, our lawmaking body tries to find ways to slash costs. Those governing the budget have now set their sights on education as an easy way to eliminate expenses. We all understand that concessions need implemented. We all understand everyone must bear this weight to make it through to better days. Nevertheless, what S.B. 850 is proposing could bring 90% of the States libraries to their knees. Most of these libraries are small town hubs holding our collective knowledge on their shelves and in their care. Most work with very little allowance as it is. Now they could be as good as gone if what is proposed passes without resistance.
Ever since our Country started down this road to recession, our government has coddled the few to pacify their vociferous notions of sure doom. We hand them Billions upon Billions of dollars to keep life going the same. It has not worked and now we are left with reducing our Nation to ignorance one Grand State at a time. Taking from the People, yet again, to please those most likely responsible for this disaster. We have to draw a line HERE, to stop this offense against our foundation of free knowledge. We have to stand up for our rights as a State, as a People and say no to the death of the common peoples institute for learning ! “We learn by doing” Our Free Library system allows us to learn without censorship, and to do what is necessary to prosper. In this ever-perplexing world, information is the monarch of all. Facts change, new exploration becomes known and fresh ideas surface. Knowledge moves faster today then any other time in history, and without our libraries, we will be left behind. All forward movement in this State could end. The people will lose unrestricted excess to information, which can and will lead to oppression of thought. Our children will suffer with only a generalized education, again governed by the state. They will surely sink ever more into the mud of inequality, with out a free library system. Not only will this affect our education, it will affect service’s for unemployment benefits, it will drastically reduce federal funding to the tone of 3.8 million dollars, needed funds to keep our libraries operating at the minimum costs they work at now. This is the moments you as A Pennsylvanian you as Americans you as a Human beings must stand and defy the power that keeps stripping us of our freedoms. This can only be a true democracy if each and every voice is heard. Without the public library, our voices will be oppressed and this is the slide into tyranny. I beg of you to call EVERY State Senator and Representative over the Memorial Day break, Explain to him or her you will not allow our foundation of free thought to collapse without a fight. If you do not stand and be counted the doors for hundreds of free libraries will close, and a better future will disappear along with it. Here are the proposed reductions in S.B.850 (Senate Republican Proposal for FY2009-10) Public library subsidy $75,750,000 reduced to $ 37,000,000 a cut of 51.2 % Library access (POWER statewide interlibrary deliver) $ 3,792,000 reduced to $0 a cut of 100% Office of Commonwealth libraries(includes State operations)$ 4,846,000 reduced to $2,396,000 a cut of 50.6% Library services for impaired & Disabled $2,976,000 reduced to $2,926,000 a cut of 1.7% Electronic Library Catalog (ASK Here Pa. Access Pa database)$3,792,000 reduced to $ 1,771,000 a cut of 53.3% A total cut of $44,093,000 plus Federal of $3,8000,000 Sincerely Charles Wills Redman Jr. Liberty Pa. While I can't agree with all of "Yep's" reply, I do agree with some of his points. Mr. Ted is a loon of the first order. I honestly believe that he has mental / emotional issues. This is a man who admits to having not only his wife arrested, but his own mother, too. I'm not saying that whatever they were accused of doing did not need to be dealt with, if they were guilty, but to get out and brag about it, is sick. He claims to be well-educated and well-versed in the legal arena, but just go to the Uniontown page and read some of his rants. Then judge for yourself if you think that this person isn't a few fries shy of a Happy Meal. Unique IP Code: 8355c0bb1c12234

In Ted Prickards basement. He is an exterminator, so he has an endless supply for sacrifices. Prickard is the county's loon. Just ignore him and hopefully they will put him in the nuthouse. The real nuthouse, not his home.

I Have worked for years at the place you are talking about and these are all lies you tell. If these things are happening there, why are you still working there? Worked there twice as a matter of fact and never saw a single roach or any rat for that matter, so quit running the place down. Obviously you are upset about something or someone there.

Mr. Ted Pritchard
I have fictional and non-fictional role models. Of course, I have to start with god. He loves me when I am not so loveable. Lets take people that previously served as past public officials such as a former State Representative , Police chief , or a Judge that are full of experiences in day by day living in a society for which I reside . These people I have tremendous respect and serve as a role model for me to follow and learn . I believe that public officials who are role models know that they are, whether they like it or not. It is their behavior that people look up to. It is their leadership qualities that others want to see and model. A Good Role Model is a person whose behavior and attitude conforms with that which society or other social groups expects of a person in his or her position that models high morals , social responsibility who serve as patterns for living, who tells, or influences you to make the right choice in life. The idea that there is within each of us the ability to inspire those around us by living a life that is more outward focused than inward focused. By being selfless, we can do our part to make the world a better place, spreading love and hope through our daily actions. It is not only by what we say but more importantly by the life that we live out that shows what each of us is made of. Our youth are very perceptive and they watch every move you make. For better or worse, they observe, learn and imitate your behaviors, your actions, your values, your beliefs and even your expressions. It's a fact that our youth learn vicariously by observing the behavior of others .

Postings worth repeating :I told the manager which is one of the girls and she told me that they found a dead rat in the deep fryer and they just removed the rat and continued using the grease in the fryer . That the rats has the run of the kitchen when they are closed . They clean up the following day when they reopen . She also told me that one customer told her that he thought dead roaches were burnt with the fixings of a pizza , I do not know about just the rats !!!! I am currently employed at Bud Murphy's , I am a whistle blower . Mr. B does not want the expense and although as he said what people do not know will not hurt them . Also this situation as been ongoing for years . I observed a roach in the soup so they just removed the roach got a cup of soup which then the waitress served it to the customer . They claim that food poisoning is very complicated to prove . People on several occasions has claimed they got sick from eating at Bud Murphy's but Mr. B just tells them it is ridiculous and that is all is said . Bud Murphy's has They only change the grease twice a month regardless of it's condition . Sometimes the employees screen it to get the bugs out but most of the time they're to busy to do this . Currently Bud Murphy's has a tremendous fly problem that gets in the food while it is being prepared . The bug man sprays while food is being prepared he is only on premises for fifteen minutes . They always had a huge rat , roach problem . I also work there and been there for sometime believe it that they do cut corners a lot . a lot of pull within the city . I have to vent my frustrations to some kind of audience . If you doubt what I say then keep on patronizing them . my kid used to work at Pechins cafeteria in Dunbar. A rat had got in a stainless steel food warmer that was full of baked macaroni and cheese. My kid was told to take the rat out and stir it up and put it out for the customers. It had fallen from a broken ceiling tile. I never ate at pechins after that until they moved to the new location. Also, last year, we were at Pizza hut and my grandson said, look there is a rat on that table. We thought he was kidding but when we looked, due to his insistence, there was a rat on the next table trying to get cheese out of a shaker. And it was right after the lunch crowd had left. there were about 12 customers in the place. We left and have never been back since. I don't eat out too often anymore but will say, any time you live near a river, you will have river rats and they aren't small. I see them running on the streets all the time near Bud's and other places. A woman out in south Connellsville had one come up out of her commode a few years back. They are everywhere.
