Perfect Pitcher of Tea While not food this healthy drink will be leaps in bounds over soda pop. Ingredients: - 7 Regular Lipton Tea Bags - 2 Plain Green Tea (no flavoring, pure) (I use Salada Green Tea) - 3/4 Cup of Sugar (You may use up to 1 cup if you have a sweet tooth) Steps: - Place all nine tea bags in a 2 quart sauce pan and pour hot tap water over them them (until all are damp) and then fill sauce pan at least half way. - Place pan on the stove and bring to a rapid boil, then remove from heat. - Let it cool about an hour before draining the pan into a 1 Gallon pitcher. - Squeeze the tea bags to ensure you get all of the tea out of them. - Add the sugar and stir real good while filling the pitcher up to the gallon mark. (You may add ice if needed) - All done! You have a delicious beverage that is significantly cheaper and healthier than soda pop. No high fructose corn syrup either (now believed to be a cause of type 2 diabetes). The green tea adds a more mellow flavor to the tea, and adds a healthy punch to an already healthy drink. This is also good for people who recently found out that milk mixed in with tea destroys its healthy anti-oxidants. A lot of people can't have hot tea without adding milk, so this is an even healthier alternative.
while I don't agree with your brands of tea or making without a tea maker, I do like the idea of mixing green and black/orange pekoe tea together... I don't like green tea by itself but I know it is healthy for you. I'll have to try it sometime. Thanks

Though not widely reported it should be told that the same Islamic wackos that brought down several of our buildings on September 11, have been plotting a new form of terror that is unconscionable: Taking over a school while it is in session. Much like their attacks of the past, it'll likely be more than one school involved almost simultaneously. While I doubt any school in our region would be involved, here are some wise pieces of advice I heard on the radio today: - If you even hear of a possible school hijacking, immediately proceed to your school and claim that you have to remove your kid for a doctor's appointment. Better to air on the side of caution. - If it is your child's school that is taken over DO NOT go to the school at any cost! Homeland Security states this implicitly for the following reason: The terrorists know that when a tragedy occurs a line of onlookers and victim's families line up on the outskirts along with media there to record the event. They are planning to detonate car bombs and other methods to kill a mass number of people with a live picture of it beamed across the world. Learn more about this terror threat by watching Glen Beck at 7 Pm on CNN Headline News.
