I am so sorry that you were in pain, but Nurses can't give you any medication without the MD ordering it. If you were allergic to something we wouldn't know. If you were having a "bleed" aspirin would have made you worse. Gotta do a whole physical before any meds are given.

Today I was given what could be the most frightening information I could ever get hold of in the respect of our independence as individual Americans. The Pennsylvania state budget proposal ( S.B.) 850 has planned to heavily cut state funding to the Greatest device we have as a Free Nation, our libraries. As this Nation’s recession digs deeper and everyone of us feel the pain, our lawmaking body tries to find ways to slash costs. Those governing the budget have now set their sights on education as an easy way to eliminate expenses. We all understand that concessions need implemented. We all understand everyone must bear this weight to make it through to better days. Nevertheless, what S.B. 850 is proposing could bring 90% of the States libraries to their knees. Most of these libraries are small town hubs holding our collective knowledge on their shelves and in their care. Most work with very little allowance as it is. Now they could be as good as gone if what is proposed passes without resistance.
Ever since our Country started down this road to recession, our government has coddled the few to pacify their vociferous notions of sure doom. We hand them Billions upon Billions of dollars to keep life going the same. It has not worked and now we are left with reducing our Nation to ignorance one Grand State at a time. Taking from the People, yet again, to please those most likely responsible for this disaster. We have to draw a line HERE, to stop this offense against our foundation of free knowledge. We have to stand up for our rights as a State, as a People and say no to the death of the common peoples institute for learning ! “We learn by doing” Our Free Library system allows us to learn without censorship, and to do what is necessary to prosper. In this ever-perplexing world, information is the monarch of all. Facts change, new exploration becomes known and fresh ideas surface. Knowledge moves faster today then any other time in history, and without our libraries, we will be left behind. All forward movement in this State could end. The people will lose unrestricted excess to information, which can and will lead to oppression of thought. Our children will suffer with only a generalized education, again governed by the state. They will surely sink ever more into the mud of inequality, with out a free library system. Not only will this affect our education, it will affect service’s for unemployment benefits, it will drastically reduce federal funding to the tone of 3.8 million dollars, needed funds to keep our libraries operating at the minimum costs they work at now. This is the moments you as A Pennsylvanian you as Americans you as a Human beings must stand and defy the power that keeps stripping us of our freedoms. This can only be a true democracy if each and every voice is heard. Without the public library, our voices will be oppressed and this is the slide into tyranny. I beg of you to call EVERY State Senator and Representative over the Memorial Day break, Explain to him or her you will not allow our foundation of free thought to collapse without a fight. If you do not stand and be counted the doors for hundreds of free libraries will close, and a better future will disappear along with it. Here are the proposed reductions in S.B.850 (Senate Republican Proposal for FY2009-10) Public library subsidy $75,750,000 reduced to $ 37,000,000 a cut of 51.2 % Library access (POWER statewide interlibrary deliver) $ 3,792,000 reduced to $0 a cut of 100% Office of Commonwealth libraries(includes State operations)$ 4,846,000 reduced to $2,396,000 a cut of 50.6% Library services for impaired & Disabled $2,976,000 reduced to $2,926,000 a cut of 1.7% Electronic Library Catalog (ASK Here Pa. Access Pa database)$3,792,000 reduced to $ 1,771,000 a cut of 53.3% A total cut of $44,093,000 plus Federal of $3,8000,000 Sincerely Charles Wills Redman Jr. Liberty Pa. That is so sad. Your aunt went to them for help but they did not even help alleviate her pain. I thought the law required hospitals to give pain medication to people in pain because there was a big ta-doo about it a few years ago. I went to the Uniontown Hospital emergency room 3-4 years ago, with swelling that was not painful until after I sat waiting for hours in their waiting room. I asked the nurses for ASPIRIN and they smugly REFUSED. Honestly - they had the most uncompassionate attitudes I've ever seen in nurses. While contemplating losing my place in line to drive down to the 24 hour K-Mart for Tylenol, my name was called. The Doctor on duty that night wrote a codeine prescription for me, but I am pretty sure that by law the nurses were required to give me an aspirin when I requested it in the waiting room.

Stacey, thank you so much for replying back to my email. Sorry I've been so long getting it. I would love to know all you can share with me about the family. My husband's nephews have children and I am hoping to put this information together for them. My husband's half brother was Bobbie Helms, grandson of Sarah and George. His mother was Betty Jane. Bobbie passed away a few years ago, but his brother Paul and his 2 children and Bobbie's 2 children, would get a closer understanding about their heritage. I can send you what information I have on Sarah's family if you would like it. Thank you so much, it was wonderful seeing your reply.

The will of God will be done, in spite of evil forces at work, for God knows what lies ahead for all of us .All of this is based on a powerful scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." It appears that we are straying from God, and not by accident pushing ourselves into a god-less mindset. There are two words to describe this: (1) post-Christian meaning, we no longer rely on Judea-Christian truths as the basis of the public philosophy or their moral consensus .2) Postmodernism, meaning we reject any notion of a universal and overarching truth . Public officials should respect the rights of citizens, serve in the interest of society, follow the principles and values of democratic governance (openness, transparency, accountability, etc.), and at the same time efficiently and effectively provide public services. Politicians and public servants should be aware of the ethical dimensions of their professional activity and follow socially accepted norms of behavior. The indifference with regard to the public, arrogant behavior and servile attitudes, and slowness that were common during the communist era are still often met in the activity of public servants in our region. Our marriages need prayer. When a marriage is failing the wife (or husband) tries gifts, trips, new home, entertainments, but the marriage is still growing apart. Neither the church or the home addresses the real problem: Where is the first love - the joys, the zeal, the passion, the prayers, the pulling together when problems arise? Where is the call to prayer? Which we will indict ourselves , the older generation. Do we take seriously that the Sunday school teacher and her class needing our prayers, do we saturate the activities of our youth (even though we might not agree with the path they are taking to get and keep kids in church) with prayers and petitions that God will work in the hearts and minds of our leaders and their followers? Some people call the older generation in church the "prayer warriors," but are we fulfilling that obligation to pray - in a time of our lives when strength is failing, or when we seem invisible in the church? What better thing can we do, for God and the church than to pray and as the Bible says, to pray without ceasing.

Change by other means Sat, Nov 01, 2008 - 01:59 AMCWR “Change by other means.” I love people, I love change, and as I mix these two important ingredients together I hear the most amazing stories. I headed to the local nation of Wal-Mart to stock my cold room for the winter and ran face first into a woman that changed history. As I stood waiting for the wife searching for fabric to make her famous bag keepers, I noticed an older lady short in height, gray in hair, gentle in nature. I watched her and listened to her talk about when she first was married and had to cook on a wood fire then life progressed and she cooked on gas then electric. Now she’s back to cooking on wood. I got in on the conversation and we talked about cooking with flat pans this lead into life’s general niceties until we ended up talking about her employment with a local coal mine. Why I called this letter “change by other means “is because change happens whether you want or need it to. Our nation was foundered on change, and everyday we strive to change what is not beneficial to the masses, well at least we try. One of the strongest movements that want change is that fight of the female sex. Growing up I was programmed to believe that woman were the weaker sex, and without a strong man they would be selling themselves on the street. Well that was my thoughts then, I know better now. I see women in a new light. Woman, they are amazing, and the world would end without them. lets face it, two guys can’t make babies, they can practice all they like, but can’t make that human. As hard as I try other then sexual organs I don’t know of a single difference between woman and men. Women have fought for this weird thing called equality, like they need permission to have it. What is even stranger are those that do not fight at all, they are happy being a servant of another. History gives you the stories of those that put up a fight to change the thinking of those that oppress them. History will show you those that stood on the mountain top demanding respect. What history hides are those that changed history, not for reward, not for power, not for status, but for necessity As I’m listening to this woman talk about her days in the mines I realize that she was a trail blazer, a silent promoter for the cause and she didn‘t even know it. She said she was a bolt cutter and some sort of counter in the mines. I may be wrong about her under ground job, but what she did as an employee was unimportant. I listened as this tiny woman tells me about her days fighting off male workers, earning respect as a worker in the depths of our earth. She told me that three women entered that mine and three women stayed there, 10 years they worked there over harassment and treat. They worked there not to make a statement they worked there not to be noticed, they worked there because they had to. G.D. lore (I hope I get the spelling correct), that’s her name. A local Fayette County girl, a coal miner and a figure in silent history. She, by working in that mine opened doors, showing the world she had no time for their issues. She had to feed her children, buy health insurance. She didn’t understand she was a special someone. Even though she didn’t stand up and ask for respect, she made them give it to her. She worked for a pay check, not to prove a point. She didn’t care that it was the mob days ,she didn’t care if it was a “mans world” she needed to do what she needed to do even if no one else wanted her to do it.. Our world is a better place for it; our world is a better place because of G.D. lore. Lately, over the last ten years the lines are becoming blurred between men and women in the work force. What you have in your pants is slowly slipping out of the standards. We had a great chance for a woman to be president; we have a man of color at that door now. We have woman as leaders with as much respect as any man can get. We have single moms providing for their children, earning a living without a male figure to guide them along the path. We’ve had great bounds in respect for the sexes, the races, and personal beliefs, almost, almost we have quality. Without those that just did it, not wanting for fame, not asking for permission, we may not be in the great place we are today. So the next time you feel like you are being held back or under appreciated, think of G.D. Lore as she worked in that dark hole fighting sexism and coal dust, she helped you make it to the place you are today. She held open that door to better things. Without those that fight the passive fight we would be lost. Take this letter as inspiration, and a word to the wise, you don’t have to put up a fight for your rights, you already have them, like Nike says Just do it & ” Change by other means.” Sincerely CWR

Easier sign-up provisions under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 and overworked or incompetent election supervisors have contributed to often grossly inaccurate lists sent to the local polling places to determine who should vote. Curtis Gans, director of the Washington, D.C.-based Committee for the Study of the American Electorate. "The problem is real and could pose a danger in that people can vote in the names of those who have died or moved away. We must create a better standard for cleaning the lists."
In Fayette County Pa. in August 2008 a Federal Election year the Fayette County Pa. Board of Elections decided to delay the purger of 25000 inactive / ineligible voters of a supposely five year purge so this means these voters were accumalated over a five year period . Now I was initially was the denied but I filed a request on Tuesday December 8, 09 in the PA. Supreme Court for a reconsideration of this denial . Now if they deny my request as I expect I will in the U.S. Supreme ourt which I have ninety days to do so .
I have had conversations with certain high profile people which they really believe that since every state has the identical law as Pa. and the American voting act also prescribe the procedures to remove these type of voters within ninety days of an Federal Election which was not complied with that that the U.S. Supreme will docket the case as a case of first instance and of public importance . This Court's ruling will be retroactive and could very possibly include the Federal General November 08 Election . I expected at all times to be denied throughout the state Court system simply because politics plays a major role . I had to exhaust all of my state remidies before going to the U. S. Supreme Court . I knew I would had to go there . By the way I will be the very first layman in the history of the U.S. Su8preme Court to ever argue in front of the Justices . BOY !! What madia exposure this will get , "WORLDWIDE" And it will be out of "FAYETTE COUNTY PA. " !!!!
