Not at all, I happened to be checking the site at the request of a friend who does not have a computer. I wouldn't follow Mr. Ted anywhere! He is a problem looking for a place to happen. As one of my friends says, he's a "few fries shy of a Happy Meal." Unique IP Code: 8355c0bb1c12234

Praise be!! I hope that your posts indicate that you are - at last - leaving Fayette County for good. But let the good people of Somerset County know that you're not the brightest bulb in the box and a few fries shy of a Happy Meal! God help them if they fall for your rhetoric and actually make the mistake of voting for you. For those of you fine folks who reside in Somerset County, PLEASE check the Uniontown posting board and see exactly what a loose cannon this person is. He claims to be well educated. He can't construct a grammatically correct sentence, his spelling is substandard, and he admits that he 'dumbs himself down" in his posts. Be seriously aware of this person. He has been accused of "cyber-stalking" me by other posters, and I personally believe that he has SERIOUS ISSUES. Be sure to educate yourselves before you go out on a limb and actually vote for him. He admits that when he previously ran for the Office of County Sheriff, he only received 4 votes from his own community. I, myself, feel that his only qualification is to be voted for "Village Idiot," but as this is America, you do what your conscience tells you to do. God Bless and Good Luck to all of you, Just, please, also be aware to be careful what you wish for. Unique IP Code: 8355c0bb1c12234

P.O. Box 157 Fairchance , Pa. 15436 724 564 1710 I have forwarded papers to the State Elections Commission to form a committee should be their Monday . I am fifty seven years old B.A. Degree from Fairmont State College concentrating in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Field , attended Law school been a resident of Fayette County for twenty years , presently reside in Fairchance Pa. I have previously been a candidate for Sheriff , have announced to run for Congress but decided not to . In the just recent Election I have ran for Magisterial District Judge in this Election I advocated Justice for the residents within our Crime Drug infested community . I have always been on the frontline advocating that my community's crime and drug be eliminated to the point of tolerance. Our community accordingly to neighborhoodscout.com is not the safest in America , ranked eighteenth among the most crime ridden community in America , ninety percent worse of all cities , boroughs , Townships in the Commonwealth of Pa. but I only garnered sixty three votes coming in last place compared to the incumbent's two thousand some votes . This incumbent I presented evidence that he sets low bail for violent criminals, my other opponent a Senior Magisterial District Judge who came in second had released an abducted child abductor on Fifteen Hundred cash bond. So I am more interested in the innocent residents that are being victimized. Wherefore I believe the only solution to the community's deplorable problem is to break up Fayette County to annex different parts to outlining counties. This move would be of Benefit to the residents , better taxation , better education that currently Fayette County is second to South Philadelphia in teenage pregnancy , better police protection , better infrastructure , more availability to jobs , eliminate the famine that is currently facing Fayette County . Simply put industry will not locate to Fayette County with its present situation. I say enough is enough? Also within our Commonwealth a lot has to be improved , they can not every time they fall short of money expect the taxpayers to pick up the tab . What they really want is for the taxpayer to simply endorse our paycheck and send it to them; this is the ultimate result if it continues. Also we must restore our economy with jobs, eliminate the corporate income tax so we can attract industry, we must make our Commonwealth very attractive but we must start with communities like Fayette County who is currently a huge embarrassment for other good vibrant counties throughout the Commonwealth who takes pride in becoming an attractive community. Recently I received a letter from a Westmoreland county resident which is the following: I am sure there are good parts of Fayette County ....but the bad outweighs the good in Fayette County but when I drive south toward Fayette County ....lets just say I know when I am there without the signs telling me. Sometimes I get this eerie feeling that maybe I shouldn't get out of my car in Fayette County and just drive back up to Westmoreland County, Fayette County also known as Fayette nam named after Veitnam , It's hard to shake a reputation still hasn't snagged a flashy major employer. Like many residents long neglected, Fayette County’s communal mindset accepted it's fourth -class status and seemed not to expect more than it got. And refused to adhere to change from their crime, drug infested escalating present status. Fayette County was know as Fayette Nam and had a horrible drug, crime problem long before the economy went sour. Mr. Pritchard we are so impressed for your strong willingness to pitch in and help your community but as a lot of my friends and I observe that you lost the Magisterial Judge’s race coming in last with only sixty three votes with the incumbent gathering over two thousand voters really knocked our socks completely off . We do not know what to think about your poor showing. It would appear the community wants to eliminate their ugly drug and crime infested situation. A lot of us are very well aware that you have been on the home front advocating a change from a crime and drug infested community to a community that the residents can be proud but it appears that will not happen . Within the Commonwealth the insurance industry has to be controlled by a shorter leash , They hire high priced defense injury attorneys outspending the injured who has been injured by their insurers negligence and ignorance by fifty to one thus leaving the injured out in the cold . I am currently involved with a present injury litigation case for which the insurer has denied any action that world involve any act that would cause my injury that I complain of for whatever ulterior motive probably resulting in higher premiums or something that I have done to offend them . But anyway I am willing to take a polygraph or voice analysis to show I am being truthful accurate anywhere anyplace anytime. Another of my concerns is that our inmates within our State Correctional System may very well be truthful, accurate in their allegations of being mistreated by the Correctional Officers. I believe that the Correctional Officers behavior and how they present themselves within the community is a clear indicator how they will conduct themselves to the inmates health and safety. After all our inmates are definitely cattle or livestock. In case many may forgotten they are human beings that are being isolated from society. I believe that the State Correctional system should be totally revamped. Another of my concerns is that the Commonwealth show never competes with the private sector which has proven to be an absolute detriment to the taxpayers. A perfect example is the Workers Compensation State Fund that cost the taxpayers huge amount of money and is a huge loss.

Today I was given what could be the most frightening information I could ever get hold of in the respect of our independence as individual Americans. The Pennsylvania state budget proposal ( S.B.) 850 has planned to heavily cut state funding to the Greatest device we have as a Free Nation, our libraries. As this Nation’s recession digs deeper and everyone of us feel the pain, our lawmaking body tries to find ways to slash costs. Those governing the budget have now set their sights on education as an easy way to eliminate expenses. We all understand that concessions need implemented. We all understand everyone must bear this weight to make it through to better days. Nevertheless, what S.B. 850 is proposing could bring 90% of the States libraries to their knees. Most of these libraries are small town hubs holding our collective knowledge on their shelves and in their care. Most work with very little allowance as it is. Now they could be as good as gone if what is proposed passes without resistance.
Ever since our Country started down this road to recession, our government has coddled the few to pacify their vociferous notions of sure doom. We hand them Billions upon Billions of dollars to keep life going the same. It has not worked and now we are left with reducing our Nation to ignorance one Grand State at a time. Taking from the People, yet again, to please those most likely responsible for this disaster. We have to draw a line HERE, to stop this offense against our foundation of free knowledge. We have to stand up for our rights as a State, as a People and say no to the death of the common peoples institute for learning ! “We learn by doing” Our Free Library system allows us to learn without censorship, and to do what is necessary to prosper. In this ever-perplexing world, information is the monarch of all. Facts change, new exploration becomes known and fresh ideas surface. Knowledge moves faster today then any other time in history, and without our libraries, we will be left behind. All forward movement in this State could end. The people will lose unrestricted excess to information, which can and will lead to oppression of thought. Our children will suffer with only a generalized education, again governed by the state. They will surely sink ever more into the mud of inequality, with out a free library system. Not only will this affect our education, it will affect service’s for unemployment benefits, it will drastically reduce federal funding to the tone of 3.8 million dollars, needed funds to keep our libraries operating at the minimum costs they work at now. This is the moments you as A Pennsylvanian you as Americans you as a Human beings must stand and defy the power that keeps stripping us of our freedoms. This can only be a true democracy if each and every voice is heard. Without the public library, our voices will be oppressed and this is the slide into tyranny. I beg of you to call EVERY State Senator and Representative over the Memorial Day break, Explain to him or her you will not allow our foundation of free thought to collapse without a fight. If you do not stand and be counted the doors for hundreds of free libraries will close, and a better future will disappear along with it. Here are the proposed reductions in S.B.850 (Senate Republican Proposal for FY2009-10) Public library subsidy $75,750,000 reduced to $ 37,000,000 a cut of 51.2 % Library access (POWER statewide interlibrary deliver) $ 3,792,000 reduced to $0 a cut of 100% Office of Commonwealth libraries(includes State operations)$ 4,846,000 reduced to $2,396,000 a cut of 50.6% Library services for impaired & Disabled $2,976,000 reduced to $2,926,000 a cut of 1.7% Electronic Library Catalog (ASK Here Pa. Access Pa database)$3,792,000 reduced to $ 1,771,000 a cut of 53.3% A total cut of $44,093,000 plus Federal of $3,8000,000 Sincerely Charles Wills Redman Jr. Liberty Pa. It's just like these casinos opening... where are people who are struggling to keep a roof over their heads, food on the table, etc., going to find the money to pay for gas to get to the casino, let alone find the money to gamble? I can't see any of them being successful and staying open for any length of time. What do you think? Unique IP Code: 8355c0bb1c12234

Heres a answer, HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - February brought Pennsylvania its steepest job losses since the recession began, led by a big drop in manufacturers' payrolls, according to state figures released Thursday. All told, the state's employers shed 41,000 jobs in February, or about 1 in every 140 jobs in Pennsylvania. It was the biggest one-month job loss in 13 years. The February unemployment rate hit the highest mark in 16 years. The size of the job losses was startling and raised the specter that Pennsylvania will not be able to avoid the recession's heavier job losses being felt elsewhere in the nation, said labor economist Mark Price of the Harrisburg-based Keystone Research Center, which is affiliated with organized labor. "It's clearly beginning to hit Pennsylvania in a way that it hasn't so far," Price said. "Hopefully this is a blip, but we're going to definitely continue to lose jobs, hopefully not at this pace." The state Labor and Industry Department released the figures on the same day that Gov. Ed Rendell publicly criticized Philadelphia-based refiner Sunoco Inc. for its plan to slash 750 jobs. The company is eliminating the jobs to pad profits and dividends, not to avoid red ink, and will only accelerate the vicious cycle of weakening consumer spending and layoffs, Rendell said at a news conference in Philadelphia. "There are some things that are more important than how much profit we make," Rendell said. "Sunoco should sacrifice by making a tiny bit less profit." Sunoco was not swayed. The company said it is facing a different and more difficult economy, despite several years of strong financial results, and that it must take steps to remain competitive. "Recession means lower demand for gasoline and diesel fuel and other refined products," said Sunoco spokesman Thomas Golembeski, who complained that Rendell has not called out any other companies for cutting jobs. Among the job-loss notifications received by state labor officials in February and March included layoffs at a Manitowoc Co. hydraulic equipment plant in Franklin County, Essroc Cement Corp. in Lawrence County, two K-Mart stores in Montgomery County and Modern Industries Inc. in Erie. Officials also received notifications about the closings of a Triumph Apparel Corp. plant in York, a TNS Custom Research Inc. office in Indiana borough and an Advanta Corp. office in suburban Philadelphia. February's unemployment rate stood at 7.5 percent, a half-percentage point increase over January as another 31,000 people joined the ranks of the unemployed who are actively seeking work. Pennsylvania's rate remained below the national rate of 8.1 percent in February. The manufacturing sector suffered Pennsylvania's biggest overall percentage drop in February. Manufacturers cut 15,000 jobs, or 2 percent of the sector, during the month. The financial services and professional and business services sectors each shed more than 1 percent. Pennsylvania now has fewer jobs than it did in July 2005. When the recession began in December 2007, the unemployment rate was 4.6 percent. Since then, employers have reduced payrolls by more than 100,000 jobs, or nearly 2 percent. Filings for unemployment benefits rose steeply, too, up 51 percent last month over February 2008. In the first week of March, filings of initial claims were up 85 percent over a similar period last year, according to government statistics. ___ Unique IP Code: d58e78f91d85172

Over the past few months the Seven Springs Mountain Resort has fired many loyal and long time employees. Many were managment and loyal employees for over 30 years. Is it the current economy or the new owners way of cleaning house? Not sure who will run the resort now. It would be a shame for the resort to not survive and have to close. Saying a prayer for all those fired and hope they find employment elsewhere. Also saying a prayer for all the remaining employees, it will be a challenge to provide the same service with a limited staff.

On the official letterhead of the City of Uniontown :February 27, 2008 in Re: Edward Harris , To Whom it May Concern : I am the newly elected Mayor of Uniontown I am writing this letter on behalf of Mr. Edward Harris . I have Known Edward Harris and his family for several years . I have always known them to be civi-minded , dedicated-oriented individuals . I believe Mr. Harris is more of a provider and protector than he is a predator . He is always willing to help anyone who is in need . I have known Mr. Harris to be involved in various community service projects and have always been present to do clean-up-work . I feel he may have been the victim of unfair treatment . Thank you for any consideration in this matter . Sincerely Edward R. Fike , Mayor of Uniontown .
