If there is abuse in South Connellsville by the police then make a complaint with the Attorney General's Office, Corbett seems to make sure he investigates everything very well. As far as internet predation goes, South Connellsville reported using a young looking undercover decoy during some operations. If any of these men saw her on web cam then came to meet her and she was acutally over 18 when they saw her, then they were looking at a young woman, not a child. This type of thing confuses a jury and make sit easy pickings for a defense attorney. If they came to meet a young girl as depicted in pics and conversations then a jury will find them guilty and they will serve their time. Talking to a girl on the phone could be anyone. Police can use the phone to pretend to be whomever they want. Case Law says police officers can lie, but we can never abuse.
Today is Caleb Reagan's service, Please take a moment at 1:00 and remember this young man, his family & friends. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers at this time. Such a fine young man who had his whole life ahead of him. REST IN PEACE CALEB & REMEMBER THAT WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!!! YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY EVERYONE.

Very glad to check in and see the south connellsville message board back up and running. I was born and raised on New street and have very fond memories of my youth. I too remember when the circus came to the playground and seeing my first elephant up close. I waited every year for the carnival and the firemans cake wheel. My mother donated cakes for this every year. I remember when the firemen had battles with hoses and an empty beer keg and us kids running under it to keep cool. I remember pick up foot ball games and combat volley ball, and the rivalries against the kids from the south side. I spent a lot of time at the beach and still make a trip every summer to camp on the island with my brother even though I am now in my late 40's this was much easier to do when I was 15 and 16. We used to swim up and back between the beach and turtle rock. Being a member of the CAHS swim team this kept us in shape through the summer. I remeber cutting grass for neighbors when being paid 2 dollars was big money! I get back every year at least twice and sometimes just drive the streets and remember all of the good times. I walked the playground last fall and saw some kids playing pick up foot ball, I sat there for over an hour watching and laughing, the kids probably thought that I was a stalker but it was fun just the same. Fishing at the dam also took up a lot of my summers, I was one of the very first to wade out in front of the dam where the water comes over it and I even have an old now yellow photo from the Courier where a reporter took our picture. I would love to hear from old friends and neighbors of your memories.
Thanks MIke but i don't know which to go to now so i guess i can post on 2 boards because i lived both places and i guess even on others so but thanks for bring board back .
